Welcome to Paris?

하루하루
This is September 17th 2013.

I am heading to Paris, France from Kosice, Slovakia.

Former plan somehow changed into long Europe travelin. Now I was supposed to be back in Bratislava and keep studying my dear Korean studies, but during june new option appeared to me. One year of these studies were really some stuff to do and seriously pretty enriching and impressing. I got to know a lot of people whose characters differed a lot but any bad experience is good one as my english teacher used to say :D Along with that I ve got strong basis in korean language and chinese is no longer a bunch of pictures for me. But I decided to interupt my studies in order to travel and earn money as much as possible to have enough for my further studies. I intend to continue at Charles University in Prague or something like that :)
But back to this day..
few days ago I started to pack for this journey with difficulties since I may take only 10kg cabin cabage and 25kg suitcase. In any other case it would be enough, but to pack for winter time is always more complicated. To take sweaters and all those heavy cloths, really no fun. Moreover I gotta take my books so as I can keep studying in France my dear languages and so as I am prepared for futur university.
Now as I look trought the window it s damn rainy out there, as well as in Paris. 14degrees I suppose ? not so much really and windy why so when I wanna get there in peace..Anyway it s quite emotional to leave my dearest and go to a brand new world but I hope it s gonna be ok this way..
...
Drew a deep breath of fresh air coming trough window behind my back. It is rain that makes me feel, that makes me surrender, not to think. Eyes still closed, don´t wanna wake up for few more seconds. I feel safe, in arms of my beloved one. Warm, soft touch, embrace in which I am lost not knowing the diference between reality and dreamin. Holding almost squeezing my little hippo toy 하마 hoping it is not the morning yet and than definitely being woke up by kiss on a forehead with the sweetest good morning.. I don´t wanna leave. That was the first impression this morning. Is this right? Do I wanna feel alone or what it s gonna be actually? Paris, the city probably everyone wanna see once in a lifetime. I m gonna be there for third or fourth time I guess. Maybe that s the reason I m not so enthusiastic about whole this thing and yet it s hundred percent different. This is no longer a school trip or hang out with friends. This me and myself going to place that I know and yet it can surprise me to live there. To find a job, make it my home for short period of my life..
5 hours to Bratislava by train are almost done. I m gonna get off soon, so I ll write probably from Paris later on.

Moreover!
from tomorrow till 20th sept. it is CHUSEOK tiiime !!
to those with no idea what s this all about, let´s sum it up into few facts;
 Chuseok :
is 3 days off to celebrate harvest, food, fertility and so on :)

and so..
I seriously need to find some korean restaurants in Paris which I ll definitely visit and I ll provide You full review.

Chuseok vocabulary

Trypophobia

                              Trypophobia

Can´t You just withstand one glimps at those holes ??

You are the One
the person that feels anxious while looking at any kind of hole, dots with high contrast or any object like that ?
Look at these and tell me what do you feel ?

I have quite difficulties with this article since I suffre a lot from this phobia since my childhood,
but let´s do this.
I feel stressed, nervous, my body shakes, body temperature rises, I cant focus on anything, I feel I need to run away, need to close my eyes, every part of body itches, I simply cant withstand looking at such stuff.
For a long time I had nightmares where I was forced to look at these things, but I was considered child that requires a lot of attention only...
Well now it is officially recognized as phobia, to be exact :
The term trypophobia, sometimes called repetitive pattern phobia was coined in 2005, a combination of the Greek trypo ( drilling or boring holes ) and phobia.

Why is this happenin´?

Geoff Cole and Arnold Wilkins, both researchers at the Centre for Brain Science at the University of Essex, decided to analyze the characteristics of the images that appear on the trypophobia.com website.

He did some research on images of certain animals that evoked fear in some people, but why some combination of colors and contrast creat such a reaction ? After having consultation with one of his clients that claimed to feel fear while looking at blue-ringed octopus he got an idea that all the animals are extremely venomous.
And that gave him an idea. He searched for images of other venomous animals, and once he had found several, he showed them to his visitor. "He couldn't look at the images," says Cole, because they elicited the same phobic response as an image of holes.
So Cole decided to analyze the images of the venomous animals and found that they had the same unique characteristics as the trypophobic images he had already analyzed.
What does this mean? Cole speculates that when someone with trypophobia sees an image or object with holes in it, it stimulates a primitive portion of his or her brain that associates the image with something dangerous. He says you can think of it as a kind of unconscious reflex reaction that happens faster than the conscious brain can say, "There's nothing to worry about."
In other words, trypophobia may be the remnants of an evolutionary adaptation that made total sense: If you see a venomous animal, get scared and move away as quickly as possible.
Maybe You are not aware of this in your life, but research results are sure that one does not have to possess sever reaction, but 100% of all respondants, wether they suffer from it(this phobia) or not, find these objects as less confortable to look at than the others. It looks like we all have it deep there somewhere in our brain. This part of evolution that just want to make us aware of potencial danger, even though it no loger represents a real one nowadays :)

Now some more disgusting stuff !..

Since I am quite ´´Everything about Korea´´ fan
I searched even further
And OMG
how disgusting stuff I ve found..

There goes a story, a legend if You prefer..

´´Cosmetic Sesame´´

The story goes like this: Somewhere in Korea, there was once a girl who is willing to try any method out there just to make her skin better. One day, she heard from a friend that putting sesame seeds in your bath water will be good for your skin.

Worried about her skin getting old and wrinkled, the girl tried this method right away. But after a few hours, she didn’t come out of the bathroom. She’d only reply, “Just a moment!” when someone tries to enter. Her mother grew suspicious and forced the bathroom door open.

What she saw inside really shocked her—on her daughter’s skin are innumerable amount of sesame seeds that attached themselves between every small wrinkle and every pore and had started to grow roots. Her daughter seemed like she had lost her mind and was frantically trying to remove the seeds with a toothpick.

seriously I can´t write any more..
If You wanna know how bad it is with You
try some trypophobia test :)

I kind of don´t think this article could be enjoyed but anyway I hope You at least learned something new :)

As requested I add one more thing, the video that makes me sick and is commonly used as trypophobic test.

OMBRÉ !

Ombre

or

comin´ from french word ´´ombré´´
which means -shaded-

recent trend used from hair, nails to lips..

Since I usually visit hair stylist every 5 years :D I don´t change my hair very often and if I do, it´s nothing big really. This time I decided to make them a lil shorter with some bangs and make them dark royal blue :)
Well, my dear friend hair stylist tried her best to make my hair lighter as much as possible since I ve got pure black one :D After few hours it turned into almost blond but unfortunatelly blue colore did not react as it supposed to. But anyway we put at least red color on it and I ended up with black and red hair.
I didn´t even know at the time that it s called somehow and afterwards I searched a lil bit and found out some more.

me&my hair&장난감 곰 (my teddy bear ;)

To the depths

Beauty and the beast

Slovak caves

Yes, this is monorail heading toward entrance of the most popular, the longgest and the largest limestone cave in all Asia at the same time..
in South Korea :-D
Unknown by many koreans themselves an yet annually visited by more than one million visitors.
환선굴/ Hwanseon Cave
Hwanseon cave is located in Dei-ri, Gwangwon-do. Dei-ri means big ears. There are six caves in this region. Only two are open to travelers. It takes long time to get to Hwanseon Cave. For this, they equipped mono rail for visitors, which used to take 30 to 40 minutes on foot. If You want to take a breath of mountain, walking is also recommended.

...and now back to Slovak reality.

Slovak version of ´´monorail transport towards cave´´

Previous days I have spent by exploring Slovak caves which I find so unique and beautiful. All over Slovakia we can find several types of caves from limestone, aragonite to flowstoned. 12 out of 6200 are available for tourists guided mainly in Slovak, Hungarian, German or Polish language. More English and French would be nice if we want to attract some foreigners I guess.

First of all, I recommend to follow signs along the road, which are not many and in fact to be foreigner looking for some cave in here? I would be lost...and NOT to use GPS because not even once I have been led to the entrance, but always somewhere into the forest probably on the top of the cave :D
Once You are lucky and You found not only the sign but the road as well and You somehow were able to get over this ´´little´´ bupm ride an old entrance, most likely built in ´´status ante regime´´ welcomes You.

They are partially refurbished on the outside, but once You step inside You may travel back in time. You look around looking for toilets which I am not going to describe at all, can´t say they re dirty but there is little place to move, everything is old if even functional.
In case You possess some physical handicap do not worry, there is no barrier free access so You will not have opportunity to see these toilets or anything else :)
To get some refreshments ?
Try vending machines to buy some coffee or water, but if italian coffee fan? than it is not recommended to drink this brown sweetened boiling water.
Anyway it s still something. Becasue there are cases when there is simply nothing but the cave :D

BUT
The caves itselves are real jewels,
to see its beauty check the link at the bottom.

Did You know what we have here?
I mean the real beauty is there still unexplored, still unavailable for tourists, but so beautiful..
one of my favorite Slovak caves waiting for their opening to public is ..

The Moon Shadow Cave
located in High Tatras, Spišmichal Valley
discovered in 2004
which is by now 2nd deepest cave in Slovakia.

Within few weeks I am about to travel to France so I ll have a close look on conditions over there. In France we can find around 11 show caves and 10 caves containing pictograms, so I cant wait for it :)
You probably know at least world wide known french cave called
-Lascaux-

so do not forget to follow me
to get the ´´´truth broadcast ´´ right from french caves in details with many photos ;-)

I cant not to mention The Mother of all caves,
The Heavenly Beauty on Earth.

    ESA´ALA CAVE
I am not going to write about this one now, because it deserves one full article but
I highly recommend to watch the movie
to feel its atmosphere.

..and the movie.. - Sanctum -

There is even poem written in 1797 by Samuel Taylor Coleridge in honor of this cave :D
...
In Xanadu did Kubla Khan
A stately pleasure-dome decree:
Where Alph, the sacred river, ran
Through caverns measureless to man
Down to a sunless sea.
So twice five miles of fertile ground
With walls and towers were girdled round:
And there were gardens bright with sinuous rills,
Where blossomed many an incense-bearing tree;
And here were forests ancient as the hills,
Enfolding sunny spots of greenery..
...

For those who got interested in
환선굴Cave or any Slovak cave here come very usefull links and trailer introducing korean monorail :)
